1.1 Introduction
These Pricing Terms (“Terms”) govern how OffSyntax charges for its workflow automation services. By engaging our services or subscribing to a plan, you agree to these terms in addition to our general Terms of Service.
1.2 Service model
OffSyntax sells workflow automation as a service:
- Build fee: A one-time fee for discovery, design, development, testing, and handoff of one or more custom workflows (“robots”). Scope and price are agreed before work begins.
- Maintenance (optional): A recurring monthly fee for monitoring, error fixes, minor adjustments, API compatibility updates, and priority support. Not all plans include maintenance.
Plans (Launch, Scale, Full Stack) and their inclusions are described on our Pricing page. Custom or enterprise engagements may be governed by a separate statement of work (“SOW”).
1.3 Pricing and currency
- All listed prices are in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Build fees are due as agreed (e.g. 50% on kickoff, 50% on delivery, or as stated in your quote).
- Recurring maintenance is billed monthly in advance. The first month may be prorated.
We reserve the right to change pricing for new customers or new engagements. Existing agreements and active maintenance plans keep the pricing in effect at the time of sign-up unless we notify you of a change with reasonable notice (e.g. 30 days for renewal).
1.4 What the build fee includes
The build fee typically covers:
- Discovery call and workflow audit
- Architecture and design approval
- Development and testing (including edge cases and fail-states)
- Handoff: dashboard access, documentation, and training (e.g. 30-minute walkthrough)
- A defined support window after go-live (e.g. 30 days for Launch)
It does not automatically include:
- Ongoing maintenance after the initial support window (unless you are on a plan that includes it)
- New workflows, new integrations, or major logic changes (these are scoped and quoted separately)
1.5 What maintenance covers
Where you have an active maintenance plan (e.g. Scale at $199/month), maintenance generally includes:
- Monitoring of your workflows and alerting on errors
- Bug fixes and error resolution
- Minor configuration changes (e.g. thresholds, recipients, schedules)
- API compatibility updates when third-party services change
- Priority response (e.g. 24-hour target) for incidents
Major changes, new workflows, or new integrations are out of scope for the base maintenance fee and will be quoted separately.
1.6 Cancellation and refunds
- Maintenance: You may cancel maintenance at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial months. After cancellation, workflows continue to run; you simply no longer receive maintenance support. We can provide documentation so you or your team can operate the workflows yourselves.
- Build fee: Once work has started, build fees are generally non-refundable. If we mutually agree to stop a project before delivery, we may agree to a partial refund or credit as set out in your quote or SOW.
1.7 Changes to scope or pricing
- If you request changes that go beyond the original scope, we will provide a revised quote or SOW. Work beyond the original scope is only performed after your written (e.g. email) approval.
- We will not increase the price of your current build or your current maintenance plan mid-term without your agreement. Any change for a renewal or new engagement will be communicated in advance.
